Special Occasion Cards

Just a reminder that I would like to send cards on behalf of the MU in the diocese if I know the circumstance. These might be ‘thinking of you cards’ to the very poorly members and Golden Wedding Anniversary cards and every five years after that. Also 90th birthday and every five years after.

Please contact me with a name and address and date for the card to arrive giving me as much notice as possible in case I am away.

If you have other requests for cards I am happy to consider those too.

Palm Sized Teddies

teddiesThe Mothers’ Union members in the diocese of Peterborough were very pleased to be asked to knit these teddies for Kate to take to Swaziland. The project gripped the imagination of the members, and we found new knitters in our midst.

The “teddies with love” pattern was adapted and the enthusiasm accelerated. In fact I had to limit the number that each member knitted!

Mothers’ Union supports families and communities worldwide with prayer and practical help. We are delighted to do something to help the orphanage… a family in itself.  We hope that the teddies give as much joy to the children as they gave us as we knitted them.

We send best wishes to Kate and feel sure that she will achieve her goal of “making a child smile.” She will be remembered in our prayers.
